Mice may be making their way into your home now

Mice are a hot topic at this time of year due to the change in weather. They will be looking for nesting locations within and around your home. Below are some interesting facts about mice.

·     Mice have a curious nature, they love to explore their surroundings. They can travel large distances in a day in search for better food sources and nesting grounds.
·     In order to find their nesting ground, mice are able to climb, jump, swim and squeeze through the smallest of gaps.
·     Once they have found a place to nest, they are able to reproduce at an extremely fast rate. They can have over 10 pups each month.
·     They are able to reach pretty much any part of the household. They are able to gnaw through most building materials as well as wires. By chewing through these wires, they can cause electrical and fire hazards.
·     Mice have very good eyesight in the dark making exploring very easy for them
·      They do not need a large amount of food either to sustain themselves and do not actually need very much water to survive.
·     They do however carry bacteria and diseases, so it is advisable to get a professional in if you think you may have a mouse infestation.
